  Buyer beware!!!! The service tech couldn't have been more pleasant inspecting my 40 year old plus furnace. He told me what I already knew: I needed a new furnace. After that, everything went south. He went into a furtive sales pitch and gave me a $7000 estimate. Since I'd done research (I work in construction lending for 20 years) it was a steep price for installing a furnace that costs $800 retail at Home Depot. When I asked him for a scope of work breakdown he got aggressive. In the construction lending world there is always a scope of work, materials, labor, permits, etc. He got so nasty I made an appointment just to get him out of my house. I cancelled the appointment after his truck left.
  So i got a referral from a co-worker and the new company came out and installed my new Trane furnace for $2300 including permits.
  Run don't walk away from ARS.
